🧡🤍 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT, CANES! 🤍🧡
Last night at the Boosters meeting, they proudly donated $50,000 toward supporting ALL of our amazing MDHS student–athletes! This incredible milestone is only possible because our community shows up, works together, and believes in our kids.
From parents to volunteers to local supporters—YOU made this happen.
And this is what “We Are One Team” truly means. 🧡🤍
But we’re not done.
To keep creating these opportunities for our athletes, our Booster organization needs our parents, community members and alumni. Your help volunteering & in concessions isn’t just appreciated—it directly impacts our teams, our programs, and our students’ experiences.
Your hour of help = real results.
If you’ve ever wondered, “Does it really make a difference?”
YES. It absolutely does. And last night’s $50,000 donation is proof. 🙌
Let’s keep this spirit alive.
Let’s keep showing up.
Let’s keep being ONE TEAM. 🧡🤍

Dear Staff and Families,
The district’s telephone network provider will be performing emergency maintenance on our phone circuits during the school day on Wednesday, November 12, possibly continuing through Thursday, November 13, if additional work is needed. During this time, we will not be able to send or receive external calls through our landline phones at schools or district offices.
To reach MDHS's main office from an outside line on November 12 and possibly November 13, please call this temporary cell number: 352-630-7588.
To reach the district office from an outside line on these dates, please call this temporary cell number: 352-630-5020.
Internal calls will not be affected by the outage.
During this maintenance period, we will still be able to contact parents with an email, text message, and/or phone call through Focus, as we normally do. Additionally, our employee panic alert badges can quickly contact first responders without the use of our phone network if they are needed in an emergency.
The district’s Communications team will notify all parents once the phones are fully functional again.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility while this necessary work is completed to keep our phones functioning properly.
Key Detail Summary:
Emergency maintenance window: Wednesday, November 12, possibly through Thursday, November 13
Calls affected: Calls to and from phone numbers outside of Lake County Schools
Temporary number to call school’s main office during the maintenance window: 352-630-7588.
Thank you for your understanding.
Thank you to our dedicated Hurricane Boosters! They put on a great golf tournament to benefit our athletic programs and student athletes. We couldn't do it without you all and the support of our community and alumni. Thank you to all who organized and participated!
