Congratulations to the Mount Dora High Girls Cross-Country team, who finished as the #1 public school in the FHSAA Class 2A State championships and 6th place overall in the division.
Senior Hannah Douglas medaled placing 13th overall with a time of 19:07, followed by Freshman Cecelia Lear, Junior Lilliana Vu, Junior Isabella Orser, Senior Bailey Roman, Freshman Makayla Bauch, and Senior Mina Fourari.
The boys finished 21st as a team in Class 2A.
Led by Donovan Spears, Gavin Douglas, Gabriel Lewis, Senior Jude Aoun, Ben Stone, Gabe Vazquez, and Senior Kaiba Seiber
Yesterday, Joseph Brown competed in the Florida High School 2A State Championship Meet. He placed 8th in the 100 freestyle and 16th in the 100 backstroke. He swam personal best times while setting new MDHS records in both events. Congratulations!

Please congratulate the Mount Dora High Unified Special Olympics Flag-Football Team who finished in 2nd place at the FHSAA State Championships today! They showed incredible sportsmanship always encouraging others the entire game and helping others up off the ground. We couldn't be more proud of them.
